How to build a family tree out of Christmas Ornaments

Building a family tree is always a great way to understand your families history, where you came from, what sort of legacies or traditions have been passed down and why you gravitate towards certain people, places or things.  Sites like Ancestry.com are great sources to start the process and collect information that you may not have ever known existed.

But once you build your tree, know who was involved, when they lived and what they stood for…you will have more reason to share your story with others. And it will be a great story for certain.

But how can you do this in a way that will truly stand out and be as special as possible and be seen by as many people as possible?

For starters here are a few ideas:

  1. Making a large print of your family tree and framing it for the home
  2. Turning your family tree into a family album
  3. Making a video/slideshow of the family tree
  4. OR – decorating your Christmas Tree AS the family tree!

Now there’s a great idea!

It’s a matter of personal taste really.

Another great idea for building your family tree concept – if you don’t have a large family or don’t have the time to build your complete family history at someplace like Ancestry.com – is to start with your immediate family.
